About Jozani Forest
Jozani Forest, the largest natural forest in Zanzibar, is located in the central part of the island, about 35 km southeast of Stone Town.
The forest is famous for its rare red colobus monkeys, lush mangrove swamps, and rich biodiversity. It serves as a protected conservation area, preserving Zanzibar’s unique wildlife and natural heritage.
